Short CV

Thomas Riechert is Professor for Information Systems and Data Management at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur - HTWK Leipzig). From 2002 to 2014 he worked as scientific assistant at University of Leipzig, at the Business Information Systems chair (Prof. Fähnrich). Together with Sören Auer, Sebastian Tramp (Dietzold) und Jens Lehmann, he founded the research network Agile Knowledge Engineering and Semantic Web (AKSW) in 2006 and started own research projects within the research group Adaptive Information and Knowledge Engineering.

Thomas Riechert studied computer science at the TU Dresden (Dresden University of Technology) and the Edinburgh University and graduated in 2000 from the TU Dresden. Already during his studies he worked as an independent software developer. Here he realized Web presentations for public association and professionals and was involved in the development of user interfaces for knowledge engineering systems.

From 2012 to 2014 Thomas Riechert was deputy program director of part-time master 's program Cross Media Management at the Leipzig School of Media.
